Thurman inks with CU
Emily Thurman signed scholarship papers with the Bulldogs for the 2013 season.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland University cross country coach Jared Klosterboer announced the signing of Evensville, Tenn., native Emily Thurman to scholarship papers this week for the upcoming season.

Thurman was a five-year letterwinner in track and field and lettered four years in cross country for coach Steffan Holder at Rhea County High School in Dayton, Tenn. She is the daughter of Kathy Newby and Tommy Thurman.

Thurman joins Garant Madut, Zeddy Jepkosge, Tanner Harp, Spencer Rearick and Richie Palmeiri in this year’s recruiting class.
