Clarksville native Grose signs with CU cross country
Rossview High School product Anna Grose inked scholarship papers with Cumberland for the 2017-18 academic year.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland cross country coach Jim Seckel announced the signing this week of Clarksville, Tenn., native Anna Grose to scholarship papers for the 2017-18 academic year.

Grose placed 51st among 181 competitors at the TSSAA cross country state championships as a junior and she claimed first-place honors in Montgomery County last season as well. The Rossview High School product has lettered in cross country and track for coaches Michelle Carter and Wade White and the Hawks.

"We are fortunate to have Anna Grose joining our team next year,” Seckel said. “Anna has developed into one of the best runners in the mid-state and has been a leader and key contributor in a consistently strong high school program at Rossview. She makes us immediately better and fits in with where our program is heading."

Grose earned All-Area accolades from Clarksville’s The Leaf-Chronicle as a sophomore at RHS. She is the daughter of Lyle and Angela Grose.
