Women's XC finishes in Fourth at MSC Championships

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.--Cumberland women's cross country finishes in fourth as India Mastin and Daniela Rivera earn All-Conference honors.

Mastin finished inside the Top-10 for First Team All-Conference honors. She ran the 5K in 19:35.5 to finish ninth overall. Rivera finished in 17th-place with a time of 20:04.8.

Sasha Petrova missed out on All-Conference honors by one position finishing in 21st overall. Elise Krone crossed the line in 27th place and Hope Britt finished in 73rd. 

The team's fourth-place finish is an improvement from this past spring when they finished in sixth as a squad. 

Cumberlands (Ky.) had two top-ten finishers and scored 63 points en route to the 2021 Mid-South Conference Women’s Cross Country Championship.

Thomas More was the runner-up slightly edging out Shawnee State with 90 points to the Bears 100. The Phoenix notched 134 points and Campbellsville had 134 to round out the Top-5. 

Andrea De La Rosa from Bethel took first place individually, crossing the line in 18:47.2. 

This race will mark the final race for Cumberland on the season.
