Smith, McGinley fiinish tied for third

LEBANON, Tenn. – Freshman Kayla Smith shot a second-round 87 and Smith and sophomore K.C. McGinley both tied for third for Cumberland at the CU Spring Invitational on Saturday at Windtree Golf Club in Mt. Juliet, Tenn.

Smith posted rounds of 85-87 for her third-place showing on the par-72, 6069-yard course, while McGinley struggled on Saturday, posting a round of 94 to finish at 172. McGinley carded the best round on Friday with an opening 78.

Sophomore Allyson Agee finished fifth overall after carding rounds of 87-86, while freshman Lindsey Taylor placed ninth (92-87) and sophomore Sarah Beth Foote tied for 11th (90-92).

Cumberland plays again April 22-23 at the Union University Spring Invitational at Ross Creek Landing Golf Club in Clifton, Tenn.
