CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Katie Legge fired a one-over par 73 to win low medalist honors and Cumberland University pulled away with a second-day team score of 311, winning by 31 shots at the Don Bishop Invitational here Tuesday at Campbellsville Country Club.

Legge posted her fourth career victory, making a short birdie putt on No. 18, her sixth hole of the day, and a 15-footer on the par-5 seventh to go with bogeys on the par-5 third hole, the par-4 13th (her first hole of the round) and the par-4 11th. She registered 13 pars on the day and won by eight shots over teammate A.C. Agee.

Agee was even on her first seven holes after starting on No. 12, also making a bogey on No. 13 and chipping in from behind the green on the par-4 16th. She struggled a bit on the front side, bogeying four of the first five holes before righting the ship with four straight pars. She finished with two bogeys for her second straight 78 and a second-place finish overall.

Freshman Quincy Hogan rebounded with a solid round on Tuesday after a less-than-stellar opening score. The Carrollton, Ky., native started on No. 14 and bogeyed three of her first five holes but then birdied holes No. 1 and 3. She posted three bogeys on the front side as well and finished at six-over par 78.

Junior Lindsey Taylor failed to make a birdie in her round but avoided big numbers, registering eight pars and 10 bogeys on her way to an 82. Junior Kayla Smith started with a double bogey on the 13th hole and had another double on the par-5 1st hole. She also did not have a birdie but helped the Bulldogs stay the course by avoiding any other big numbers, shooting 83.

In their first tournament as full members of the Mid-South Conference, Cumberland won going away in the team portion of the event, leading by 19 shots heading into Tuesday and adding to the advantage throughout the day, eventually winning by 31 over the University of the Cumberlands.

Cumberland plays next in the Trevecca Nationwide Invitational on October 8-9 at Old Hickory Country Club in OId Hickory, Tenn.
