LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland tied for 24th in the latest NAIA Women’s Golf Top 25 Coaches’ Poll released over the weekend by the national office.
The Phoenix finished third in the Mid-South Conference Fall Invitational without freshman Raquel Romero Valverde, who won low medalist and helped CU to the team title as the Unilever Freed-Hardeman Fall Invite last week. Junior Abbey Burgdorf placed fourth at the Mid-South and tied for seventh at the FHU event while Morgan Stuckey finished sixth at FHU as well.
This marks the first ranking for Cumberland since March 13, 2015. CU plays next in the Blue Raider Classic on October 10-11 in Columbia, Ky.
