LEBANON, Tenn. – Junior Morgan Stuckey carded an opening-round four-over par 76 and leads by two shots after the opening round of the Lindsey Wilson Spring Fling on Monday at The Pines in Columbia, Ky.
The Milan, Tenn., native recorded 12 pars, tied for the tournament lead, and registered a pair of birdies in her round. She heads into Tuesday’s final round with a two-stroke advantage over Lindsey Wilson’s Dacie Bolton and a three-shot lead over LWC’s Tara Rodenhurst.
Freshman Raquel Romero Valverde shot an opening 83 and sits in 11th place heading into Tuesday’s final round. She netted 10 pars but no birdies in her round.
Sophomore Anne Leigh Cleveland posted an 89 on Monday, tied for 22nd, while sophomore Delaney Lazenby shot 90 (25th) and sophomore Tessa Barto carded a first-round 91 (t26th) that included one birdie.
As a team Cumberland stands second behind Lindsey Wilson heading into Tuesday’s second round.
