Women's Golf in second place after day one of MSC Fall Championship

RICHMOND, Ky.- The Cumberland women's golf team currently sits in second place at the Mid-South Conference Championship after shooting a 315 on day one.

Tilde Rolandsson is currently in third place after carding a 76, putting her four strokes behind the leader. Rolandsson played a very consistent front nine recording eight pars and one birdie before shooting five bogeys on the back nine to finish at four over.

Ana Laura Pages Pruess is one stroke behind Rolandsson and tied for fourth place with a 77 on the day. Pages Pruess picked up two birdies on the round as well as five bogeys and one double.

Raquel Romero Valverde and Ida Lihufvudh finished with an 81 putting them at a tie for 11th place. Valverde played the back nine much better than the front as she carded seven pars and two bogeys on the back and finished with three bogeys and two double bogeys on the front. Lihufvudh finished her round with one birdie, five bogeys, one double bogey and one triple.

Maria Pilar Scenna is in a tie for 17th place after finishing with a day one round of 83. Scenna shot a six over on the front and five over on the back collecting one birdie along the way.

The Phoenix are nine strokes behind the University of the Cumberlands. They are set for a shotgun start tomorrow at 9 a.m.
