GAINESVILLE, Ga.--Cumberland women's golf holds the lead after the first day shooting a 318 at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in the Golden Tiger Spring Invite.
The Phoenix hold a six-shot lead over Tennessee Wesleyan and 19-stroke lead over third place, Truett-McConnell and Reinhardt.
Emma Hermansson continues to play well shooting a three-over-par 75 for second place. She is two strokes behind Madison Pratner from Truett-McConnell.
Sophomore Nathalie Nutu sits in a tie for fifth-place after carding a seven-over 79 and freshman Anna Krieger is in eighth place on stroke behind Nutu with an 80.
Jasmine Sachdev shot an 84 and is tied for 14th place and Ida Furuheim is in 39th after posting a 96.
Cumberland will finish the 36-hole tournament with the final round tomorrow at the Golden Tiger Spring Invite.
