Phoenix remain in 17th after Round Three of NAIA National Championships

SILVIS, Ill.—Cumberland Women’s Golf remains in 17th after day three of the NAIA National Championships at TPC Deere Run. 

Cumberland shot a 330 on day three for a 54-hole total of 979 to stay in 17th. British Columbia retook the lead heading into the final round with a 298 today. The Thunderbirds hold a 15-stroke lead over Keiser who sits in second. Oklahoma City is just behind the Seahawks in third. Dalton State moved up three spots today to sit in fourth and William Carey is in fifth. 

The Phoenix started on the back today playing the back-nine first before finishing on the front. 

Emma Hermansson remains the top Phoenix after posting a 81 in round three. She is tied for 45th with a 239 total. Hermansson went six-over on the back after starting five-over through her first four holes. She picked up two more bogeys and a birdie on No. 17. On the front, Hermansson went four-over with three bogeys, one double, and a birdie on No. 8.

Nathalie Nutu shot an 82 in round three for a 247 total through 54-holes. Nutu posted seven pars and 11 bogeys in her round. She played the back five-over with five bogeys and the front six-over with six bogeys for the 11-over-par round. Nutu is tied for 74th place. 

Jasmine Sachdev is tied with Nutu at 247 after shooting an 84 in round three. Sachdev carded seven bogeys, one birdie on No. 14 and one double on the back. She picked up five pars, three bogeys, and a double on the front for her round. 

Anna Krieger is one stroke behind Nutu and Sachdev in the standings with a 248 total. Krieger shot an 84 in her round today. Krieger started her day with a birdie on No. 10, but that was the only birdie she rallied as she posted a triple on 11 and added three more bogeys on the back for five-over on the nine. On the front she carded three pars, four bogeys, and two doubles to finish 13-over. 

Ida Furuheim posted an 83 in round three for a three round score of 254. She is tied for 87th. Furuheim played the back five-over carding six pars, but two doubles and bogey slipped her score. On the front, she posted three pars, five bogeys, and a double to finish with an 83. 

Cumberland will play the final round of the NAIA National Championships tomorrow.
