Unranked Bulldogs Face No. 4 Embry Riddle at National Duals

The Cumberland University wrestling team will compete in Cedar Falls, Iowa this weekend at NWCA national dual meet tournament. The invitation is based on last year's performance at the national tournament. The tournament includes the top 16 teams in NCAA I, NCAA II, NCAA III and NAIA. The NJCAA, NWCA and women's freestyle teams will also be included in the tournament. Unranked Cumberland will face the NAIA No.7-seed Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, currently ranked fourth in the national poll at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 12.

Cumberland is not currently ranked in the top 20 teams after being ranked 13th two weeks ago. They will be led by returning All-American sophomore Corey Bleaken at 157 and junior Jordan Powers (ranked No. 8 in the NAIA national poll) at 184 and freshman Joshua Chappa (ranked No. 8 in the NAIA national poll) at 125. Embry Riddle will be led by returning national champion Hayden Harrison at 165, All-American Trace Billet at 149, All-American Calvin Devault at 174, Frankie Villaescusa (ranked seventh) at 133, Travis DeGroat (ranked fifth) at 184 and Tyler Chang (ranked fifth) at 141.
