Jarad Swint enters his ninth season as the head coach of the Bulldog wrestling program, producing 11 NAIA All-Americans, two national champions and 17 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes during his tenure in Lebanon.

Cumberland's Corey Bleaken claimed the 2011 national championship at 157 pounds, while James Casadaban finished seventh at 165 pounds for the program's 11th and 12th All-Americans under Swint. Bleaken garnered this third career All-America accolade at the national championships, becoming just the third three-time All-American in Cumberland athletic history.

The Bulldogs had two All-Americans in 2010, with Casadaban placing second at 157 and Mikey Davis finishing third at 141 at the NAIA Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Cumberland has produced 58 total national qualifiers during Swint’s previous eight years as head coach as well as seven Top 20 team rankings. In 2004 the Bulldogs led the nation in Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes with four, had three student-athletes garner the honor in 2010 – Adam Myers, Trey Myers and Andy Shoultz - and three more in 2011 - Joshua Chappa, Adam Myers and Shoultz. The 2006 recruiting class was ranked 12th by USA Wrestling among non-Division I recruiting classes.

At the 2006 NCAA Division I Nationals, Swint was awarded the NWCA Bob Bubb Coaching Excellence Award for qualities and characteristics as a role model and mentor for developing young student-athletes.

In April 2007 Cumberland University completed a $154,000, 4,800-square foot wrestling building for which Swint established the foundation through his fundraising work.

Before arriving at Cumberland, Swint was an assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Findlay. In 1995 Findlay captured the NAIA National Championship and finished as NAIA national runner-up in 1999. After switching to NCAA Division II in 2001, Findlay placed sixth and fifth at the national tournament. He helped produce 71 All-Americans, 12 Academic All-Americans and 10 individual champions between 1995 and 2002.

During Swint's three-year college career, he was a three-time national qualifier and in 1994 was an All-American at 177 – two weight classes above his original class at the beginning of the season. During his career he defeated national champions from NCAA Division II, Division III and NAIA. He was a member of the 1994 NAIA National Dual Meet Championship team at Findlay.

Swint is a 1995 graduate of the University of Findlay, receiving his bachelor’s in Environmental Hazardous Materials Management with an emphasis in Biology.
