LEBANON, Tenn. – After dropping its first match of the season a week ago, Cumberland dropped out of the top spot and is ranked sixth in this week’s NAIA Women’s Soccer Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Tuesday.
The Bulldogs were ranked No. 1 in the nation for four straight weeks before last week’s loss to Lindsey Wilson ended a 12-match winning streak for the club. The Blue Raiders moved up four spots to No. 4 in this week’s Top 25. CU has dropped two straight overall after a 1-0 defeat at No. 9 Northwestern Ohio on Monday.
Cumberland will host St. Catharine College this Friday in the quarterfinals of the Mid-South Conference Championships at Noon at Lindsey Donnell Stadium-Kirk Field.
