Schaub named POW

LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland’s Courtney Schaub was named the TranSouth Women’s Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday after winning both of her singles and doubles matches last week for the Bulldogs.
She defeated Georgetown's Haley Hart, 6-2, 6-2, and Alabama-Huntsville’s Amanda Sippel, 6-0, 6-0, both at No. 2 singles. At No. 1 doubles she teamed with Larissa Akari Miura to win 8-6 over Georgetown’s Adrienne Bartlett and Kaitlyn Thompson and 8-2 against UAH’s Sippel and Maria Lawton.
For the season Schaub is now 8-10 in singles and 8-7 in doubles. Cumberland plays at Bethel University on Wednesday and at Union College on Friday.
