LEBANON, Tenn.--Cumberland Women's tennis drops home match with No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan, 7-0.

In doubles, Maddie Bemisderfer and Aynara Armas defeated Cumberland’s Jessica Hernandez and Ainhoa Garijo Garrido 6-1 in No. 1. In double No. 3, Joana Bou and Ksenija Dmitrovic fell to Indiana Wesleyan’s Lena Golz and Thais Mendez, 6-2. In No.3, Emily Connolly and Breann Barger posted a 6-2 victory over Cumberland’s Ana Maria Collazos and Marcela Donatoni.

In singles No. 1, Alexandra Leisibach was defeated by Indiana Wesleyan’s Melanie Dveksler by two sets, both being 6-1. In No. 2 Cumberland’s Marcela Donatoni fell to Thais Mendez 6-5, 6-2. Indiana Wesleyan’s Emily Connolly defeated Carly Earnhardt 6-4, 6-3 in singles No.3.

Lena Golz was able to defeat Ksenija Dmitrovic in No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-4. Johanna Bou fell to Aynara Armas by a score of 6-4, 6-0 in No. 5 singles. To finish out the day, in singles No. 6, Maddie Bemisderfer was victorious over Ksenija Dmitrovic, 7-6, 6-4.

The Phoenix will stay at home to face against Arizona Christian on Friday, February 26th at 2 P.M.
