
LEBANON, Tenn. – Riley Kilian, Amber Mays and Kalea Barnett each placed second in individual events and the distance medley relay for Cumberland Monday at the Mid-South Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham, Ala.
Mays finished second in the 800-meters in 2:26.34 while placing third in the mile run in 5:25.47 and running the first leg of the DMR along with Faith Wilson, Abby Gawthorp and Kilian, with the group posting a time of 13:06.78.
Kilian broke her own mark indoors in the 5000-meters with a time of 19:16.35 for second time while Gawthorp placed sixth in 20:00.03. Sasha Petrova finished eighth in the mile in 5:43.94 and fifth in the 3000-meters in 11:17.15, Madison Plaggenburg was eighth in the 600-meters in 1:47.76 and Hannah Spring placed seventh in the 1000-meters in 3:27.79.
In the sprints Sonora Thompson finished third in the 60-meters in 7.87 and fourth in the 200-meters in 25.94 while Sanura Rhodes was eighth in the 60 in 8.19. Wilson placed seventh in the 200 in 26.85 and sixth in the 400-meters in 1:00.46.
Thompson, Petrova, Plaggenburg and Alexis Powell finished fourth in the 4x400-meter relay in 4:28.22.
Barnett posted a mark of 48-6.25 in the weight throw for fifth and placed second in the shot put with a mark of 40-2.75.
